Monogram and Monogram Table Runners

The Monogram Table Runner is a relative easy thing to do. It's one of those things that look intimidating but really isn't. I actually made 2 for our wedding. One for the Cake Table and one for the Sweetheart Table.

  1. First, of course, you need a monogram.

  2. We used 3 ft. of muslim fabric.

  3. Fabric Paint, in your choice of colors.

  4. Print out your monogram. I did this by opening my monogram in Microsoft Publisher and using the "Poster" setting on my printer.

  5. Once you have done that, you'll need to tape each piece of paper together. This will create your large monogram which you will use to trace onto the muslim fabric.

  6. Place the large monogram under your muslim fabric, so that you can see it. You'll need to ensure you place it in the center about 1 foot from the bottom.

  7. Using a pencil, trace the monogram on the muslim fabric.

  8. Once you have traced the monogram, make sure you put cardboard under the muslim prior to painting.

  9. Paint your Monogram on the muslim.
If you're interested in doing an Aisle Runner, you can use the same process (we did not do one for our wedding. I was too afraid I would trip on it:). You can purchase an Aisle Runner at your local craft store.
